An anaesthetist, Dr Rachael Grimaldi is a mum of 3 children under
the age of 4, and is currently on maternity leave. Frustrated at
not being able to join the frontline in the fight against COVID-19,
Rachael saw an opportunity to improve communications with the
patients whilst in full PPE by developing an innovative and simple
resource, an app called CardMedic. Launched in 72 hours, the app is
now improving patient care in 50 counties across the world.
